The American Hometown Heroes initiative was founded by a coalition of Independent Yellow Pages publishers to help returning military service men and women start a local business and become successful within their community.

Every year, thousands of men and women proudly serve in our military, preserving the freedoms and democracy that makes our country great. Yet, when they return home, they find the current state of our economy does not provide them the support and job opportunities they were hoping for.

Giving Back to Those Heroes Who Gave Everything

Participating publishers offer professional advice and marketing assistance to any returning veteran who would like to start a new business in their hometown—all at no charge to them. The program includes a comprehensive advertising program in both print and online for an entire year.

Since the majority of consumers use a combination of both search engines (76%) and Yellow Pages (74%) to find local businesses, this program offers a unique opportunity for veterans to kick-start their new business. Haines Local Search is proud to support American Hometown Heroes.
