Searches - Criss+Cross Plus
- When I try doing an address search, I can’t pull
anybody up. Why?
Some addresses are abbreviated or they might have a
different spelling. We strongly recommend the use of the Street Table. This
can be accomplished by just typing part of the street name and by clicking
on the Ellipse button located on the right of the Address field.
On the Street table, you can select the desired street by
matching the City and Zip Code associated with the street and by clicking on
the OK button. At that time you can add the house number and click on OK to
begin your search.
- When I am using Criss Cross to look up an address, I
can't do multiple searches; I lost my first search when I clicked on the
mailbox to do the next search.
You must click on the CD icon located underneath the word
"file" to open another window and start the search for your next
address. Insure that the desired addresses are highlighted prior to opening
the next window.
Hint: Limit your searches to 10
or 15 windows at a time. remember to print or export from all windows to
make sure you print or export all information that you have looked up.
- When I do a search, the information that comes up on
my screen was close to what I was looking for, but it does not match what I
have typed in.
You may have to use the scroll bar to view the information
that you were looking for or there wasn’t an exact match.
Hint: Select display matching
listings only.
- I can’t do a radius search because the word ‘radius’
is grayed out.
The radius search feature will not work on a name or
address that was obtained using a radius search. Try a new search using the
address that you would like to do the radius search on. Once you have the
new search results on your screen you should be able to do a radius search
on that property.
- How do I highlight all the records from my search in
CRISS + CROSS PLUS?
Right-Click on a record and a drop-down menu will appear.
From the menu select SELECT ALL. The records will then be highlighted.
Hint: Only 3500 records can be
exported at one time. If you are going to print 30,000 records, it will take
about 1000 pages.

Criss+Cross (an icon for V5 and an icon for V5.9). If you do, right click on
the V5 icon and delete it. Open up the program using the V5.9 icon to see if
this solved the problem.
- After installing the CRISS CROSS my computer is asked
to reboot, after the computer restarts I get the message:
"Non-System Disk or Disk error. Replace and strike
any key when ready"
The message comes up because the Floppy disk is still inside
of the Floppy Drive. The CRISS CROSS Key Disk does not have any System Files,
and the computer is set up to boot from the Floppy first. Take the Floppy Disk
out and press any key on the keyboard.
- When I open up Criss Cross, I do not have a CD to
choose from to begin my search. Why isn’t my CD showing up?
You may have tried to open the program with out the CD in
the CD-ROM drive. Click on cancel, click on tools, click on options, and
change the last drive to the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.

have a picture of a miniature CD in front of it.

at this time?"

will create a new icon on your desktop.
